“ Whilst up in the area on personal matters decided to try the Blackmill for lunch after reading the reviews...booked online without issue....the Blackmill is very modern inside, clean, and while dining had a great atmosphere. The place filled up very quickly after our arrival so take this as a sign of how good this venue is for food. Jon, the manager, was very friendly and nothing was too much. Coming from a hospitality background my partner was very impressed with his interaction and support of his staff. We were served by Alexia who was very friendly and attentive. She was also knowledgeable of the menu which was a bonus. We travelled there by car and there are plenty of parking spaces across the road for customers on an off road parking lot. So thank you Jon and staff for a pleasant and enjoyable experience. ”

“ This afternoon my friend and I went in for a lunch. We went on the chance of getting a table as we had not booked. The staff were very accommodating and the service excellent as was the food. “ Menu was good plenty to choose from. Cajun chicken burger was lovely. The bun wasn't dry, so I didn't have to just eat the chicken. Service in here is friendly and happy to help. Also has a beer garden which helps on a hot day. Would recommend. Do takeaway boxes! amazing if you've over eaten but still want cake. ”

“ My wife and I went for lunch here and we found the food and service to be excellent. I had the chicken pakora which was well cooked and tasty, especially with the sauce and spiced onions that came with it. Even the side salad was good! My wife had mac and cheese and she was very happy with it. The desserts were fantastic, I had apple crumble which was not overly sweetened as some can be, and my wife went for churros with an ice cream and dipping sauce which were amazing. The service was great too, we weren't waiting long for anything and the man in charge, Gary, was attentive to all his guests, not just us. He was very helpful with an older lady who had mobility issues, and he was quite happy to help keep a young child entertained by letting her spend time with his dog. He made us all feel welcome and looked after. We will definitely be back for more! ”

“ We had a very enjoyable afternoon at the Blackmill Inn recently. Lunch was, as always superb. I had the steak of the day which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented as were my husband’s chicken fajitas. Staff were welcoming and friendly which created a very comfortable atmosphere. As well as our delicious lunch I also tried a few cocktails which I cannot recommend highly enough. Long Island Ice Tea, (which is my favourite and was perfect) and a Wham which literally comes with a Wham bar in the glass and looked like a work of art. I highly recommend a visit to the Blackmill Inn, it’s perfect for any occasion and it’s pet friendly too. The food, drinks, decor etc are amazing but what made it stand out for us were the staff ”

“ We absolutely love the Blackmill Bar and Kitchen! They have a brand new menu which is delicious and we're working through! Firstly, the staff are amazing. Very welcoming and friendly which is so nice. They are dog friendly and always give Fergus big treats and cuddles. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. On our last visit, we had the madras, hot chilli honey chicken, gammon egg and chips (and pineapple!) And the king prawn fajitas. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the portions were a great size- nice and hot and full of flavour. We then joined drag-e-oke on the night which was brilliant! Barbra la bush was a fantastic host, the singers were great and the atmosphere was bouncing. We've been to quiz night a few times too and absolutely loved it. They have a lovely large garden area, which has brand new sheds, outdoor heating and nice colourful benches! Would definitely recommend! & being dog friendly is a big win! ”
